usually there is a red 'X" in upper right corner of the screenif that does not work try ctrl alt del and open task manager then applications tab and select browser and at bottom right corner stop or close process

Hp touchsmart screen is white
I think you may have seriously damaged this machine when it hit the floor off the table. What I would do is re-install the original software that came with your computer and start over or open it and check for any loose connections or broken parts. John

click start control panel view devices and printers you should see your webcam from there if you are have trouble with your webcam click start control panel administrive tools computer management device manager scroll down image devices you could see a yellow question mark? right click to reinstall drivers or update driver

you might need to download and install a messenger program which will incorporate using a web camera skype yahoo messenger If you choose to install skype or another messenger program you will have the options to join make/id or if already a member to sign in an Id must consist of letters and numbers just one number will do the Id must be unique skype will automatically search to see if your Id you have made is available eg: lopsley89 hope this helps

How do I get my Ethernet to work again?
Do you have the Ethernet Cable Plugged in? If so look where it plugs in at and see if you see a light. If you see no light then either the ethernet cable you are using is bad or the ethernet card in the computer is bad. I would try changing the cable first since it is the cheapest. Hopefully you have an extra one around the house someplace. If after changing the cable you still get the Ethernet Not Plugged In message again, then your Ethernet Card inside the computer needs to be replaced.

HP TouchSmart IQ518a Desktop PC cannot boot up after Blue Screen Error
check the ram memory if it restarting in a loop ..when it gives memory blue screen is not referring on hard disk only ..it may be teh ram memory as well ..and if it had errors it is probably something wrong with the way you installed or the partitions you have ..You need a large C drive partition made for windows & ..at least 50 G and you need to format it when you install so that it is clean and functional ..If you installed over another OS..or not formatted it or it is too small ..even if you have space in other partitions this is not a solution ..You need to have space in C drive where the windows works ..Other issues ... maybe is a file missing and does not let it boot or ..you made changes in BIOS .. for example if you installed the OS on a sata hdd ..and it was non raid ..and after that you defaulted the BIOS settings ..you may need to check the sata bus and see how it is set .. and probably need to reinstall the operation system ..If you want to use it with raid ..set it before installing ..and make a large C drive for it to work cause windows alone will have almost 20 g after first update .. Also download and put the raid or ahci driver on a usb stick in case it will ask it (will not see the hard disk on raid without driver ..even if the windows 7 usually it works cause it has the driver on install..)So ..check BIOS .. and see if it loads teh operation system when you put the hard disk sata on non raid or on compatible or on native .. it may be presented differently but the idea is teh same to disable ahci or raid for the hard disk ..and save changes and exit ..After that may work ..Also remove and reinsert ram memory and see if there is something wrong with it..and the last action reinstall cause a file from the boot sequence may be lost and this is the cause for not starting .. it happens when you do not format teh disk and it has an error on it .. For the other drives and partition ..it may be enough to make a defragmentation ..for now if you have files on them and you install only the C drive ..Let me know if you still have problems with t ..

Disc is stuck
You should see a tiny little hole in the drawer where disc sits. Get a paperclip and push it inside that little hole. This will result in the tray popping out and you can retrieve you disc.

HP probook 6570b for what OS, windows 11? HP tells you W11 is not supported, at HP.com look there first. I,m guessing what you are attempting to do, why not just say it? CPU Intel Core i5 (3rd Gen) 3320M / 2.6 GHz windows 11 does not support gen3 CPU. period first one made 2012. the PC and CPU both, same year. it is too old.(microsoft rules)

Hp satellite pavillion lap with win vista home premium had a power off during a system restore. Now has black screen on boot. Fans lights & hard are running.
1. Try a hard reset. Turn off the computer,. Detach accesories except for monitor, mouse, and keyboard.. Detach AC adapter. Have no disc in a CD drive. Hold power button down 15 seconds and release it. Reconnect AC Adapter. Power up. 2. If the screen remains black, try to boot into Safe mode: power it up 3 X in a row and after each time the logo of the manufacturer appears, power it off. From the Advanced Recovery Environment, select Safe Mode from the menu. Has this fixed the display? 3. Save the BIOS default. Turn on the computer and hit F10 repeatedly. Choose BIOS. Select "restore defaults" and "save changes." 4. Test the Hard Drive: You can connect the hard drive to another PC using a SATA-to-USB adapter If these steps fail to correct or identify the problem, the motherboard or the power supply may be at fault. You may opt to choose professional help at that point.

How to get rid of pressing F1 to boot after restart? (920-fan command 2 pin connector from power supply not connected)
back to the future 2003, a real OLD PC. wow. almost running.... Old HP, that error is HP silly way of saying all boot devices are missing and the RTC coin cell is now dead, at 5 to 10 years old. OR ! F1 also means that some other critical parts are failing, like dead fans or fans packed up in lint, needs to be cleaned first. blow out all lint first. HP does that so the PC is not damaged from overheating.! just like your car does (modern) prime goal is prevent damage. the fan has 3 or 4 pins, and one pins is called RPM (it is and electronic tachometer , that tells the PC that the fan is dead, or is way way too slow) the PC needs service, as all do that old really. Pentium 4 is old, super old now. The HP real forum covers all ,if you asked there, vast persons have asked and vast answered. there (google HP PC forum) not HPE. bad things, this old (common as nails) 21 years old. coin cell dead , for sure, over 3.0vdc good, below bad. If the uProcessor gets warm, it is trying to work but has probably a capacitor issue due to age; over 20 years old. Maybe, as the last update is wm7.0 and that ended in 2013. Time to move on or use it as a night light.

Connected X2gen MW19A monitor to laptop w/bad screen. VGA to HDMI port w/adapter & plugged in & a green light is blinking just above a power symbol on monitor. On standby? No power button to turn ON?
More than likely if the monitor is a lot newer, it is not backwards compatible with your laptop. Take a look at the function keys for the display key and toggle it on/off to see if it will pick up the dignal from the VGA socket.
