A lot of watch manufacturers use the American style date layout of Month/Day/Year. Try this. Looking at the watch press and hold the bottom right SIDE button for 3 seconds. It should enter setting mode where the seconds display will flash. Press the Right FACE button once. It should switch to the Hour display flashing. Press the same button again to go to minutes and them again to go to the date display. Repeated pressing of the top Right SIDE button changes the numbers upwards, (1,2,3,4), and the Left FACE button changes the numbers downwards, (4,3,2,1). Using a small precision screwdriver you Gently lever around the back plate until it 'Pops' off. the battery should hook out by CAREFULLY using the screwdriver you used to remove the back plate. *Note* check which way up the battery is fitted BEFORE you remove it. The back plate should just push on and should quietly click when seated correctly. Some back plates are 'screw on'.
