Hi, I have an nikon coolpix s710...after I set date and time, when I turn off and start again, it ask me if I want to set date and time...please help me to fix this problem because when i start the camera i don't want to ask me all the time if i want to set date and time.thanks

This is a very common problem with this model camera and a lot users have had to get the internal battery replaced by Nikon. Try this one step to see if the internal time and date battery is defective or just discharged. Charge the main battery to full charge, then install the freshly charge battery and leave the camera off for 24 hours. Next try to set the time and date and see if the camera retains it. If not the internal battery is bad or the camera needs serviced.

1. In Set Up you must select the language you want to use by highlighting it then PRESS OK. If you don't do this then the date/time will not set.
2. When asked to set date and time you must select YES and press OK.
3. After completing each step you must press OK.
4. In the final step you must choose your preferred day/month/year display and then press OK.
If you don't press the OK button at each step the date and time will not set.
