TI 89: Argument Error.

Hello folks- I am trying to use my TI-89 Titanium to factor and do expanding work. Entering the correct information, I get a return of

ERROR: Argument Error

Why is the calculator not doing its job? I tried the F6 menu thing from another article on the internet and it did not help. Any help with this would be appreciated.

It might be nice to see a solution to this, but I reset the calculator and it seems like everything is working perfectly.

I reset the calculator and it did its job- though a solution would be handy.
