I cannot get the thread up from the bobbin from the Mini Multi-purpose crafting & mending sewiing machine

The bobbin may be in backwards
the needle is not the correct one for the machine
the needle isn't correctly seated in the needle clamp
the machine is a little bit out of time.
Remember to hang on to the needle thread when you're trying to pick up the bobbin thread
Turn the handwheel in the direction that would advance the fabric from the front to the back of the machine
make sure the bobbin-winding spindle has been pushed back to the left for sewing
make sure your needle is inserted correctly as far as it will go with the flat side facing back
and that the upper tension disks of your machine are threaded correctly.
Make sure the presser foot is up when seating the thread through the upper tension.
Turn the hand wheel (TOWARDS YOU ONLY) never turn the hand wheel away from you and hold the needle thread lightly. .
pull the loop up and then pull both threads (top and bobbin) under the foot and toward the back of the machine.
Also could be a timing problem

the tension at bobbin seems to be the problem, make sure bobbin thread is in placed in bobbin CORRECTLY...then it should not be loose but loose enough to pull out with the slightest pull, top tension should be set on around 4,,,,,

i went on line on how to thread an industrial machine and the the bobbin is the opposite of a regular machine. when handleing the bobbin have it so the thread is going down the right side so it looks like a number nine.hope this helps

This is a picture of typical bobbin threading. The thread should go around the bobbin and come out through the slot in the same direction...see B1. The thread goes from inside the bobbin through the slot to the outside of the bobbin case. The screw adjusts the tension on the thread as it comes out.

If you mean how to thread it to wind the bobbin we'd need to know what model and brand of machine you have as they're a bit different in how that's done. In older machines it was often on top, sometimes towards the back of the machine towards the wheel. The thread went through several guides and it wound the bobbin only when you pushed the spool post that held the bobbin up against the wheel that caused it to turn, after releasing the hand wheel on the back so the needle wouldn't go up and down as it wound the bobbin.

Check the upper threading and make sure it is threaded correctly. When you pull on the thread before it goes through the needle does it give a bit or does it break? If it is breaking when you pull then the tension is way too tight or it is threaded incorrectly. Make sure it isn't looped around some guide along the line too.

For the bobbin thread... when it is in the bobbin case outside of the machine dangle it by the thread. It should hang there until you flick your wrist a bit, which should cause some thread to release and drop the bobbin down towards the floor a bit. (If it just pulls out right to the floor it is too loose). Most bobbin tension is tightened by a small screw on the bobbin case near where the thread comes though. Breaking thread would not be from the bobbin thread being too loose. Too loose would cause looping on top side of the stitch not breakage.

Make sure the bobbin is in correctly. You should feel and hear a slight "click" when the bobbin goes in correctly.

Check that the thread is tight around the bobbin. Make sure that the bobbin is in the right way around - the bobbin thread should double back on itself coming out of the bobbin holder. The bobbin tension adjustment is the small screw in the plate on the bobbin case that the thread passes under as it comes off the bobbin and goes out.

Janome New Home?

Unfortunately, Janome doesn't put the manuals for older machines on their website. Your best bet is to contact your local Janome sewing machine dealer and ask for a "copy" of the manual from them. A photo copy should be sufficient for your purposes. Otherwise I understand you'll have to buy a manual and wait to have it shipped.

But carefully look at your New Home. On the top toward the right there should be a fitting that looks like the bottom half of a spool. and next to it is a thing that almost looks like a mushroom.

Put the spool of thread on the spool holder, run the tread to and around the tension discs on top then thread the end through the hole in your empty bobbin. Place the bobbin on the thing that looks like a half a spool and push the whole thing to the right toward the "mushroom."

Press start, or hit the foot feed. Wind slowly for best results.

When full, stop and move the bobbin winder back to the Left (sewing mode)

Now... hold your bobbin between your right thumb and fore finger... pull the thread a few inches... your thread should be coming off the LEFT side of the spool, if not flip it over and try again. Open the bobbin area, drop it in with the thread coming off the left to the bobbin.

hold bobbin still with right index finger and with left hand slip the tread between the bobbin race's tension spring then if your model has a channel for the tread... follow it... otherwise pull straight back, replace the bobbin cover on the machine.....

Thread top thread then use the hand wheel to take up the bobbin thread.

(Of course this all assumes your New Home is similar to my janome or brother.) Have fun!

Does the bobbin have a metal "peak" on it? If so, drop it in the machine with the peak up. Slide the cover only about half way till the 2 arrows on the left match up. Thread the top as normal, put the machine in straight stitch. Thread the needle, then put thread under the foot and wrap thread around the post on the left. Leave foot up. Hold onto the end of the thread and start your machine. The bobbin should be winding now. After a few wraps you can let go of the thread and it should have broken off as you continue winding till the bobbin is full.

You have to do the first stitch using the handwheel so that the top thread catches under the bobbin thread and then you can pull the top thread which will bring up the bobbin thread. put both threads to back of machine. Now you can sew.

Every time you re-thread you need to do this.
