QuickTime Error

Question

I have a QuickTime error some web pages don't load properly, all I get is the QuickTime logo, in the center of the screen, the logo changes after a while to a different QuickTime icon, and from here on it's stuck.

It is possible those web sites are down.  Since Hurricane Ike swept through the midwest, a very large number of people are without power and if the servers their websites are on are in buildings with no power, then they won't load until power is restored.
