Engine problem the engine works but wont stay running like it isnt getting fuel

Now that I see your problem description it reminds me of my problem. Same thing. I think I got in touch with Tecumseh, the engine manufacturer, and ultimately found there was a problem in the fuel supply. It seems to me I poked a small hole in the carburetor or someplace where the fuel was to go thru. Making the hole bigger solved the problem. Tecumseh told me they had the problem with that engine. I wondered why they did not send out instructions to all buyers to poke the hole.
This was on a Powermate Ultra 2500, Model PMO422505.01

I HAD SOMETHING LIKE THAT BUT MY PROBLEM WAS THE ENGINE WAS SURGING.
THE PROBLEM WAS SOMETHING WAS RESTRICTING THE FUEL FLOW.
TRY PULLING OFF YOUR CARB. BOWL AND WHERE THE BOLT SCREWS IN TO THE BOWL YOU WILL SEE A BRASS SCREW THAT SCREWS INTO IT USE A PAPER CLIP OR A TORCH TIP CLEANER OR WIRE TO PUT INTO THE HOLE. YOU WILL NEED TO REMOVE YOUR AIR CLEANER FROM THE CARB IN ORDER TOCLEEN THAT.
