Problem starting a plasma

When i switch the tv on, it appears as though it is going to start i.e the green light comes on, then after about 10 seconds it switches itself off and the standby light flashes red. It takes 10 /12 times before it starts and is getting worse.

When it looks like its going to start up and it dosent then its an indication that one of the sweeps didnt start up. When you hit the power switch, the power supply sends an ok signal to start up the horizontal and vertical oscillators. When these start up they go to there respective drive circuits and then the vertical will send a signal to the power supply to keep on going so then the horizontal circuit starts up and sends an ok signal to keep going so then the set comes ob,\. If one of the two doesent start up and stay running then the power supply shuts down. To troublwe shoot these sets you need a service manualo and a good multmeter and a scope wouldnt hurt slso. This set has no user servicable parts inside of her so you need to take the set to a pro to assist you in the repair. Good Luck

My one take too long to turn on, relay/green light on and off for hours before it can start, I use a hair dryer to heat it up, then it turn on faster

I have the same plasma TV and had the same problem. The problem is three caps. Change the cap 2663, 2664 both 100µ/25V and 2662,1000µ/25V. After you have changed them your TV will work again.
