I have a Kyocera KM-1820. It's giving the error code 2102 when I try to scan a document to an e-mail. What does this error code mean?
Change the SMTP port from 25 to 587
This is what worked for me. Thanks so much! I could print but couldn't scan to email and now I can do both after changing the port in the advanced setup.

This is either a problem with your network cable connecting the machine to your network, or the network point, or the network switch.
Another possibility is that the SMTP (E-mail server) IP Address has changed or has been entered incorrectly. This is the most probable cause, especially if you can print to the device without any problems
