I recent purchased an Abit AB9 Pro board, and I am using 3 Gigs of ddr2 pc2-6400 with a total of 4 sticks. This week, the computer locked up solid and when I attempted to reboot, I got the C1 memory error. I then proceeded to increase the voltage for the DDr2 to 2.5V and the computer booted just fine. thinking that this was too much, I dropped the voltage to 2.2V and now It gives the C1 code no matter what I do. I've tried removing all sticks and using 1 stick for each port and nothing. I tried this same technique with each of the different Crucial Ballistix ram and nothing. I've tried clearing CMOS with the onboard jumper, and nothing. However, I never did take the battery out, is this necessary? What else should I try and why is this happening? I've rounded up a ddr2 pc2-5300 555hz but not sure if its compatible. All I need to do is get back into the BIOS, change the settings to where they were, but to do this I need to get past the C1 error. PLEASE HELP, I need this machine back up 2 days ago!!!

Get the battery out of the socket and reset CMOS by jumper after you unplung the pc's mai power supply
