need https security certificate for media server/hard drive
I&#39;ll explain more now...

I have just setup my external hard drive to my router, and I can access it remotely through a browser via a &#39;https&#39; IP address. The problem is that doing it via this way posts a warning that I don&#39;t have a certificate on the &#39;site&#39;. How can I get/put a certificate there?

You should be able to get around that warning.

Go the the https://IP_Address and install the certificate

For Internet Explorer:
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/931850

or add in an exception for Firefox:
http://oasis.hs-offenburg.de/exception.html
