This process requires lots of patience and dogged determination and a few softwares which you'd need to download online.
Basically, what you'd be doing is to FLASH your Tab's firmware.
1. You need the original ROM file (run a check on needrom.com) or check online.
2. You need SP flash tool
3. You need a laptop/PC you can use
4. You need USB drivers so the PC can recognize or successfully connect with your tabs.
5. You require a USB data cable to link the PC and your tab
Any other tip/guide you require will be contained in the SP flashtool zip file you download.
You need Windows XP Tablet PC edition 2005 to be able to use the Tablet properties.If Windows XP tablet PC was the original Os installed, then you will have to reinstall it.
Try to open you laptop and clean all dust inside, search for the correct drivers of your laptop model. Windows xp is very annoying with specific drivers. Take in caution that your are free of any malware.
There are 4 ways you can download and install audio drivers :
1.From Device Manager
(1).Click Start, type Device Manager in the Start Search box, and then press ENTER. (2).In the Device Manager dialog box, expand Sound, video, and game controllers. (3). Right-click the device, and click Scan for hardware changes. You should see a message that a hardware device is being installed. Additionally, the uninstalled audio device is now present in Device Manager. (4).Close the Device Manager dialog box, and then determine whether you can hear sound.
2.From the motherboard or installation CD - If your computer came with a motherboard CD, the audio drivers should be on the disk.
3. From manufacturer's website - If you don’t have the CD go to your computer manufactures web page to search for updated sound driver software. Read the instructions on the download pages carefully before installing.
4. Microsoft's Windows Update feature : If there are no updated sound drivers available, use Microsoft's Windows Update feature. Connect to the Internet and try the following items until Windows Update opens:
(1).Click Start, and then click Windows Update (if it is listed). (2).Click Start, click Settings, and then click Windows Update (if it is listed). (3).Click Start, click All Programs, and then click Windows Update (if it is listed). (4).Go to Microsoft's Web site and click Windows Update from the Downloads menu.
This error could happen because the cab is made for Windows Mobile 5. Possible solutions:
1. Unpack it with MSCEInf and copy files to the device.
2. Install it on Windows Mobile 5 or higher device and copy program files to the device.
