Having a problem with my monitor

OK, this is my problem, the monitor had been working perfectly fine all the time no problems at all, but one day i left my pc on and the monitor went to stand by. the problem was when i brought it back from stand by, I could only see a line across the screen. i thought it could be the power so i unplugged the monitor, plugged it back on and the same thing happened. i thought it could've been the PC, so i tried another monitor, and the pc was fine. after looking at the line for a while and trying different things i realized that when i pressed buttons the line did change, which indicates the tv is receiving signal. one curious thing about it is that when i change source (by pressing the source button) i see three green lights on the left side of the line, which is where the name of the source would normally appear (hence source 1 or source 2). What it really looks like is, that someone messed with the vertical size of the TV and it was reduced so much that it only shows a little line across the TV. My monitor is a princeton arcadia 27 inch AR2.7av and i was wondering if you guys know of a way to reset the settings without actually being able to see anything... since the line is like 3 pixels tall it's pretty much impossible to tell what's being displayed...

9 times out of 10, the vertical output IC I501 ( TDA1675 )and resistor R574 (1 ohm, 1 watt) are bad...The resistor opens up because Vert. IC has gone bad. IC doesn't get 30 volts from the power supply, hence , no vertical sweep....
