Failure while recording

I have been told that while recording the camera flashes "video failure" and asks if you want to save what you are recording. After saying yes you have to turn it off and restart it. I have never seen this, it has not done it to me but it happens every time when someone else uses it. This is very annoying as I have people filming our Opry shows and I can't get the whole show on video. I film our church service and also filmed a hour and a half Jazz program for the school and not once did I have this problem. I sure need someone to help me!

SOURCE: have power cinema ne for

Try this. Create a new video (make it a short one) and use the software to save it to a file. It should use the same settings/folder options as it did for the videos you lost. See what that tells you, you may be able to find them that way.

There is a way to get video off of a DVD but you have to have a video capture program/card. There are many fine ones you can purchase. Thanks for coming to FixYa. Let me know if I can be of any more assistance.

SOURCE: Is there a compatibility problem with Everio camcorder & iMacs?

How to convert .MOD file to mpg, avi, wmv,mp4,flv,mov,mkv and other common video formats?

if you got a JVC camcorder, or Panasonic camcorder or Canon MOD camcorder, you would have problably encountered such issue--- what to do with the MOD/TOD files? And you want to convert the recorded .MOD file type to mpeg, avi, mkv, flv, mp4, wmv or whatever more common, so that you can put them on Youtube, Myspace, Yahoo video, Metacafe? the problem is most major video editing suites seem to unwillingly accept the MOD/TOD format.

Someone successfully made it simply by changing the extension from .mod to mpg, but for most people, they just failed only to find there is no audio after the extension is changed, or the changed one doesn’t allow you to import these files into Windows movie maker, not to mention upload some video to Youtube.com or Facebook. People use different operation system, windows xp, Vista or else. No one wants to say they just want to enjoy the .mod files on camcorder

Stop wasting your time and getting pissed off. There is a very simple program that convert .mod NOT ONLY to mpg but many others like avi, mkv, flv, mp4, wmv, rm, rmvd, mov, dv, mg2 and swf. MOD converter is the one shoot all the trouble. This excellent mod conversion tool is not just a converter but also a video editing tool. From now on, with the MOD converter, you can enjoy your mod video on many media player, even on portable devices like blackberry, Gphone, PSP, Creative Zen,etc.
