Equalizer I had this unit installed with MDA-7755, these particular units are from Japan, so the radio bands are different and of course they don't work in North America but my problem is the Equalizer and the special effects don't work. It always shows that the Equalizer is flat and of course the sound is the same. Surround sound shows "Normal" does that mean that is on or off I can't tell the difference. The installer said that he needs the installation manual to set the equalizer, is it possible to find one on line...I found the one for the MDA-7755 but I can't find the one I really need. Do you have one that I can download? Thanks for your help Nick

SOURCE: Alpine CDA-7873 (Same as CDA-7876 basically)

the blue line from the radio harness does not have power when the cd or aux are being used and the amp is not turning on-wire the remote line from the amp to the red line and your amp will stay on and you will get sound

SOURCE: alpine 9885 - no sound with cd's or ipod

have you fixed it yet? if not try this. your car probably has factory amplified speakers. hook up the remote wire AND the power antenna wire to the blue factory amp wire and it should work just fine

SOURCE: Installing Alpine CDE-9852 CD Reciever In A Ford Mercury Sable LS

well most commen tool is a phillips head screw driver (+) to remove components to get the old deck out you'll need a dash kit to mount the new radio in 15 buck from canadian tire or audio shop...
the easyest way to wire this up would be getting a harness to plug into the factory harness too get the color code and then u just make the connections red to red yellow to yellow makes it real simple that way... the other way is to get the hanes manual for your vehicle then find out what color each wire is then yu have to cut the factory harness wire up from the book takes alot longer but can be done its worth the 12-20 dollars to get the job done if you need more help ask

SOURCE: CDA-9813 No sound, will not eject CD

There is a very tiny dot located either on the actual face of the alpine head unit or on the front plate of the radio once the face has been removed. Once you find this dot(if on the actual face) you need to make sure unit has power turned on and witha tiny needle or pick you may push this reset buton in for about 2 seconds. The face will automaticaly fold down and the disk will eject itself. Once this is done do not place the same disk back into the unit. Hope this solves your problem
