4 digit security code reset

If you do not know the security code for your unit, you will need to take the unit to a Kenwood authorized service center to have it decoded. The code feature can only be activated when the code has been entered twice, so it isn't accidentally activated. The service center will often require you to provide a proof of purchase as this feature is designed for theft prevention and the proof of purchase will ensure you are the rightful owner of the product. You can locate the nearest service center in your area here, or by calling (800) KENWOOD. Though we try to locate service facilities in local areas for our customers, at times consumers may be required to ship their product to the facility for repair.
