HI, I have install on my furnace a General Filter 1099 central Humedifier and not reach the label set . Trying to improve that condition -I clean the unit, replace filter and verify that the water valve is operating correct. >> I notice that don't have accumulation of water which i belive is normal but I do not know what to do to increase the humidity label in the house If you have any suggestion I'm willing to try Alex

there are no moving parts in that humidifier other than the solenoid and it only moves open or closed are you sure the noise isn't caused by something else, maybe something close or even the furnace

I have a General Aire humidifier on my furnace. I was having the same issue with vibration noise. I took the solenoid off and took it apart. There is a part that had a screen and a very small hole. I cleaned all the parts in my ultrasonic cleaner. The I reassembled the solenoid. It had an electromagnet that was held on by one nut. I reinstalled the solenoid mechanism and started the system. I had way better water flow, but still some vibration. I tightened the nut holding the solenoid and electromagnet together and the vibration stopped.

Hello, if there is water to the solenoid valve but not passing through it than the solenoid valve is malfunctioning and must be replaced. However, if there is no water at the solenoid valve then either the saddle valve or supply line is clogged with sediment. A easy way to chek the solenoid valve is apply power directy to the solenoid valve from the transformer, if it does not open then replace it.

Hello. the first thing you need to determine is if the solenoid is getting 24 volts when the furnace turns on, you should be getting 24 volts at the solenoid valve. If not you need to start at the transformer and see if you are getting 24 volts there, if not then most likely the transformer is bad and must be replaced, if you are getting 24 volts at the transformer then check the wiring and make sure it;s tight. also check the humidistat and sail switch/ current sensing relay to make sure they are working properly. If you are getting 24 volts at the solenoid valve and is not allowing water thru than it must be replaced.

Make sure damper dial on humidifier if open, winter. Also most humidifiers recommend to supply unit with hot water instead of cold (evaporates faster).

Hope this helps, check and see if humidistat is set to 35% humidity and that bypass damper on humidifier is in the open position or winter position.(humidistat is usually located on cold air return duct near furnace). Next, replace humidifier media pad, remember to replace media pad (filter) annually, you also may want to clean any lime deposit out of humidifier housing with a solution of warm water and white vinegar before installing your new media filter.Remember to turn power off at side of furnace when cleaning humidifier and replacing media. Before installing new media turn power back on to furnace, set humidistat to the on position, turn furnace thermostat above room temp., and inspect humidifier to see if water is running from top,(you may want to have a bucket under humidifier when checking for water), if you see water running, turn power back off to furnace, properly install new media filter, reconnect humidifier cover & set humidistat to 35%. If you do not see water present, check water supply valve to humidifier and make sure its turned on. If water supply valve is open, then check water supply tubing for blockage.And the last things to check is to make sure all registers through out your home are open and not blocked by any objects, also make sure furnace filter is cleaned, if none of this works refer to installation manual to see if humidifier was sized and installed properly, Good luck.

remove the bottom pan, slide old pad out, slide new pad in, replace pan.

Hi John Your whole question did not show up (maybe you can re-post) . I can answer what part i understand though. If the humidifier was wired in right it will not send power to the humidifier until the furnace is on, and calling for heat. This stops the unit from working in the cooling mode in summer.Make sure your furnace filter is clean as well

If the manufacture says it is the IFC then you should have the IFC checked by the company who installed it if it is under warranty still
