Computer says there is no document on scanner

My scan doesnt work i've download de epson scan but still nothin i can c only a red light

I looked at whatsopuny said and went from there. I used windows search utility to look the file he suggested, didnt find it, and then did a search for *.ds. I found a file named per1670.ds in th epson folder -- which I figured was the same thing. I copied that and then saw a file located in the TWAIN_32 folder. I clicked on that, then on the toolbar clicked on file, then "open containing folder." When I got there, I went up one level to get to the TWAIN_32 folder and pasted in the per1670.ds file that I had copied. I didnt know if that would do it, but I restarted my computer, and it worked.

Had same problem with mac os 10.4 solution was downloading the latest epson driver from epson it still didn't work. turned out that the "epson perfection 1670.ds " old file was in the trash and the scanner was still using it. I turned off the scanner, rebooted the mac and "empty trash". Turned scanner back on and it worked. If you still have the problem make sure that you only have on "epson perfection 1670.ds" file in your HD,library,image capture,twain data sources.

In this case Try to Do a Wia scan i will tell u how..........

Windows Vista: Go to Start/All Programmes/Windows Photo Gallery...........
There you will see an option saying File click on that and now on the drop down click on Import from Scanner or Camera.........Select ur scanner from that list and click on Import.............
If it doesnt scan and does the same thing it insists that there should be a Problem with the scanner.........
If that works..........
Software Problem.............
Uninstall and Reinstall the software................
