We have X646e Lexmark Printer. After not using it for few weeks we connected back again to power outlet and started it. But we got INVALID SCANNER CODE error. I went on-line and got this solution that said "Download valid scanner code to the MFP." I did not understand what it means. So our printer is not working and we needed help
I have the same issue, It just means to update the firmware. so far, i haven't got it to work after the firmware update. I laready replaced mainboard and scanner control board. lexmarp suggest to replaced the whole flatbed scanner.
