Where do i get the usb cable to update my Skyfi3 ?

I was able to use a regular mini USB cable with no problem. If you do the firmware update and the radio locks up, you can press the volume button and enter button at the same time to reset the stuck radio.

I have repeatedly used the standard reboot for Skyfi3 and it will not work. There is supposed to be another high reboot that can be done.. Does anyone know it? Tyhe unit will not get out of scanning media...

I downloaded the updated firmware, saved it to my computer. Hooked up the skyfi3 to the usb port and took the power cord from the home dock and plugged it directly in to the unit. Held down the volume up and mode button, then as soon as it got to the "scanning media" screen I hit the up arrow, then the down arrow, then the up arrow again. This got the unit running and I was able to upgrade the firmware. It took two or three times to work, but eventually worked like a charm.

Problem with the Delphi SKYFi3 XM Radio Receiver UNIT LOCKED UP WILL NOT COME ON OR GO OFF

Common problem with SkyFi3 units. You have to press the Volume UP button and hold it while you press the POWER button; this will 'reboot' your radio, then you can try it again to get it to go off.
You will need to update your firmware on the radio using the baby USB cable and the unit plugged into your computer WITH the battery recharged FIRST. Also, go to the www. xmradio dot com website and download the SkyFi3 FIRMWARE update. Then you need to download the "firmware update" into your SkyFi3. If this doesn't fix your lockup problem, you need to call DELPHI customer support, and they can tell you one more 'master reset' method. After the firmware update, it might take 2 or 3 'restarts'. Again, press and hold the Volume UP and PWR at the same time to reset a 'locked-up' SkyFi3. Regards, John

First of all, suggest using an SD card of 2GB or under. Second, firmware update. Here's the details: This is a common problem with SkyFi3 units. You have to press the Volume UP button and hold it while you press the POWER button; this will 'reboot' your radio, then you can try it again to get it to go off.

I just bought a 2gb MicroSD card to put in my device. I need to know what menu settings i need to change to record songs onto the card instead of the internal memory on the device

The bad news is, because of the RIAA and royalty rules, you never are able to record from XM onto the MicroSD card. All you can do is playback your OWN MP3 files that you've put on the card. Also, you will LOSE all your recorded XM songs from the SkyFi3 when you don't listen to XM live anymore after a month; so complain to the RIAA and all the record labels that made this stupid rule.
PS: Make sure you've updated your FIRMWARE from the XM or Delphi website. Good luck!
PSPS: Does your SkyFi3 add a 1/2second blank inbetween songs when you record continuously and the song title changes?

8GB card is a SDHC card, and these units were designed to read SD cards. At a glance, you would think it shouldn't make a difference, but data is stored differently on SDHC because of expanded capacity than SD cards. I, too, learned the hard way; purchased storage card before researching "processing" capabilities of the Skyfi3 units.
Your card should work fine in a Cell phone or other devices specifically designed for SDHC cards. Hope you get some use out of it.

Delphi skyfi3 won't turn on, the screen is white. Also will not connect to computer to be updated. any ideas please?!

Press both the MODE key and the Volume control for a few seconds and the unit will re-boot.

My unit starts up and just says at top "Checking Media" can not use any buttons, just frozen!

Take the sd card out, reboot by holding volume up and menu at the same time for 5 secs, wait for it to fully boot into the music, then put the sd card back in.

Napster's latest upgrade does not sync with the Skyfi3, a Media player playlist fails to transfer. Is there a software that will let me edit playlists on my Skyfi3?

Some of Napster will play, Napster on the fly will not. Period. Wasn't designed to and isn't compatible with SkyFi3

Trying to update firmward on Delphi SKYFi3.

when it gets stuck scanning. Press (volume up) and the (mode) button both down for a few seconds. when you release the two buttons this will turn it off and back on in few seconds.
