With the foot in the up position, loosen the screw that holds the used needle and take it out (throw it away, a bent needle is useless)
Insert the new needle from below, making sure that the flat side is towards the back, and the needle is inserted all the way up. Then carefully tighten the screw as tight as possible. Check that the needle doesn't "wiggle".

How to fix timing so it wont skip stiches when uding zig zag dtich

Timing has nothing to do with it. You have to have the correct size needle for both thread and material. Plus correct tension. Plus the correct thread for your material. Make sure both bobbin and needle thread are the same and make sure that the needle is not blunt and that the thread is not old and knotted. :-)

The needle is hitting the bobbin casing. The casing is put in correctly and so is the needle. How do I fix it?

Check that you are installing the needle facing the correct direction. There is a front & back to the sewing needle. If the needle still hits, then you need to take your machine for service.

Needle is hitting the hook. I have changed the needle. It is in the correct position. How can I fix this? Thank You

Make sure you are using the correct needle for your machine. Some needles are longer than others.

Check that you have installed the needle facing the correct direction. There is a flat side at the top that needs to inserted correctly into your machine--unfortunately machines vary. Most often the flat side either faces the back of the machine or the side.

If it is still hitting, most likely your machine is out of time--the needle is arriving at the bobbin at the wrong time. Search the internet for "sewing machine timing" OR take the machine for service.

Wont pick up bobbin thread

Did it happen after fixing a new needle ? Check you fixed the needle correctly. Usually the flat side of the needle should face the needle rod.

My sewing machin sews but does not stick, the tread comes back out with the needle

Your sewing machine is not timed correctly (sound like it's ********) ... or your needle is not the correct size. Check to ensure the needle is correct first. If you are sure the needle is right and oriented correctly then it's definitely a timing issue

When I say "********" I'm not talking mental capacity... I mean the hook of the shuttle is delayed in approach and doesn't catch the loop made by the needle. To correct this you will really have to study how it works and discover how to correct it.

Or just go get it fixed by a pro.

I have only used this machine twice, but now the needle hits the plate when it comes down...what could be causing this? and how can I fix it?

You could have a bent needle. Check and see if the needle is straight. If so, you need to take the machine in to adjust the lineup. Your machine should not be hitting the needle. Make sure you have the thread from the sewing thread threaded correctly, If it is not it will not sew correctly. Your bobbin should also be threaded correctly, some bobbins go clockwise and some go counter clockwise. Sheck your manual for the correct placement. You should also change your needle everytime you start a new project. The needle is important for smoothe sewing.
