Hello.
I am new to wacom and have been working with a medium bamboo fun tablet for the last few weeks. However, when plugginh it in just a moment ago, I experienced an odd and rather frustrating anomaly. I ran my pen along my tablet only to find that the cursor was several inches off, vertically, to the left. Instead of traveling to the left border of my monitor, it had a good three inches difference. When I slid the pen to the otherside (right), it stopped at the edge of the screen before I reached the border of my tablet. It was as if the tablet had somehow miss-aligned itself to the right of my actual monitor, leaving the rest off-screen. The distance which it seemed miss-aligned sporadically changes, sometimes being very near normal while other times only letting the cursor travel across about two inches on the right - the rest being off screen.
I am on a laptop (so screen might be a better term), my computer runs windows vista, and this didn't begin when I started a program, if any of this helps.
Any input or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
I'm not familiar with the utility software that comes with the bamboo, myself, but I am using the Intuos3, just a bigger version.
Have a look at Start>Programs>Wacom>Tablet Properties
In here you will find all sorts of seetings and customisable features.
Your looking for 'Tablet' then 'Mapping' and maybe set for 'Full Screen' - I'm guessing it's set on portion.

I've got a similar problem: my Wacom Bamboo Pen tablet was working perfectly, until I turned off my computer for the night. When I next turned it on, the tablet appears to be misaligned, or at least only confined to a small portion of the screen, but when I check the properties, everything is in order. The only way I've managed to fix this is to uninstall it completely, and then reinstall it. I don't want to have to do this every time I want to use it! Please help? :(

I think you dropped the pen on its tip and broke the little ferrite sensing core. You can try to repair it by gluing the core back together - it worked for me. For detailed instructions on how to do it, go here:

or you can try to swap the core for the eraser and the tip (more involved - you would need to be very good with a soldering iron to attempt this). Either way - it's unfortunate that the pen is so fragile and that the user manual doesn't really warn you of this.

i was just having the same issue. My tablet was working fine in Windows XP but couldn't install it in Windows 7. was getting the same error. Found the solution here ...hope it helps :)
