Here some informations prior the crash of the GARMIN NUVI 25OW.
1) I pluged the device on the imac , every thing was reconnized fine.
2) I upload the "WebUpdaterForMac_205.dmg" software.
3) I ran the application, every thing was fine. It found an update than i proceed.
4) when the GPS restarted it give me the message " system software missing".
5) Then, i pluged it on a PC, download and installed the "garmin usb drivers.
6) Now, i see the gps in the manager as a "Garmin usb GPS".
The battery look fine, i never use it on the battery. I'm also quiet confortable with the PC to follow
