Mp3 my son gave me a mp3 but it has no instructions, no MFG. symbols, model, numbers. I just want to try and use it but I have no clue on to get it going, it has radio and voice recording also can view movies. I got it turned on and scrolled through some of it but don't know how to make it function. Can you help, is there a general rule that they all follow as far as functionallity? Thanks, Earl

I have written a Wiki Manual for a generic mp3 player - it will show you how to do everything except the video part:
http://www.scribd.com/doc/10838786/Generic-Mp3-Player-Wiki-Manual

Helpful hints:
The computer may or may not recognize the mp3 player as a "Flash Disk" - just plug the mp3 player into the computer with a USB cord, and Windows XP or Vista should recognize it automatically - it will take a minute or so for the computer to initialize it.

Charging generally takes 3 hours from empty.

You can use Windows Media Player to transfer music and video files in most player - I have written a tips and tricks article under my profile on how to use Windows Media Player.

You can use Windows Explorer to drag and drop files into the mp3 player. Each file type has a specific folder associated with it. Only put music in the music folder, noy, video in the video folder, etc.

Good luck!
