PRINTER TO LAPTOP

First download and install the correct software for the Printer on the laptop, you didn't post the HP printer model. In the install of the software follow the on-screen instructions. OR plug in the Printer using a USB printer cable, the Win 8 software should try to apply the driver, if available, but you may not have ALL the printer functions until you install the correct HP Printer software.

Straight from the user guide, just discovered it today because I have also been having this frustrating problem. Use Fn + F6 - it is a toggle switch to enable and disable the Touchpad. I have a Lenovo wireless mouse now instead.

Remove ALL media, DVD, CD, USB, Shut down, unplug, remove battery, leave battery out, plug in, reboot, post results, give details. Will the laptop boot to safe mode?
