I am gonna use an external memory card for recording with sony handycam. But it always tell me "format error". How do I fix it? thanks

Now...before inserting the memory card, make sure it is not locked with password;as this can prevent it from working. Then firstly, scan the memory card using AVG software. After that insert the memory card and start making use of it....

You can download AVG software @ www.google.com/avg/downloads

How to Download Music to a Memory Card?

Downloading music onto memory cards allows you to conveniently transport and store your digital audio. Some personal computers come equipped with built-in memory card readers. However, external devices still provide download capability for those who do not own memory card-ready computers. In either case, the drag and drop process allows you to store your favorite music onto memory cards.
Instructions
  1. Insert the memory card into an external memory card reader or device associated with the memory card, such as a PDA.
  2. Connect the external memory card reader or device to your computer using a USB cable. Insert one end of the USB cable into the USB port on the external memory card reader or device. Insert the other end of the USB cable into the USB port on the computer.
  3. Wait for the computer to recognize the external memory card reader or device. You will access the external memory card reader or device as if it were a drive in your file manager. Skip Steps 1 through 3 and insert the memory card directly into your computer's built-in memory card reader if applicable.
  4. Open the file icon for the memory card reader or device to view its file contents as a folder.
  5. Open the folder containing the digital audio file you wish to download to the memory card.
  6. Drag and drop your desired digital audio file into the memory card reader or device's open file folder.

There is no option for inbuilt memory on my camera

On most cameras, once you insert an SD card, they automatically use the card over the internal memory.

How can i download pictures from my camera using the memory card

Hi,

You can download pictures from your camera to your computer by using a memory card reader. (You can use your computer's built-in memory card reader, if it has one, or you can purchase an external memory card reader as shown in the attached image).
6250fe3.jpg

To do this, kindly remove the memory card from the camera and insert it into a card reader. Connect the card reader to the USB port of your PC (if you are using an external card reader).

Now, the memory card will be shown as a "Removable disk" in "My Computer". You can browse the images and download the pictures to your computer.

Hope this solves your problem. Thanks for using FixYa.

I used to be able to take 1000+ pictures on external memory card. Now I'm trying to take pictures and it will only allow me to take 9 pictures but on the camera memory. I have reset the camera to factory...

With no card in the camera, go into the menu and find "format"...follow the on-screen instructions to erase the internal memory. Then, insert your card and do the format thing again (This will erase your card so if there are pictures on it, download them first using a separate card reader).

Not enough Memory, LG Renoir camera

From the settings menu, choose phone settings, then Memory Manager.then handset common memory. Chances are, this will nearly all be used up. Move any pictures, video, music etc from the internal memory to the external memory card using the My Stuff application, then move to external memory. This should solve the problem & any new photos will be stored on the external card. When theinternal memory gets full, the Renoir does funny things!!

Please help, i cant activate use of my memory card on the lg viewty

If its a new card, have you formatted it in the phone? (go to Menu, Settings, Phone Settings, Memory Manager, External Memory then click on the Format button).

To activate its use, go to Menu, Settings, Phone Settings, Memory Manager, Primary Storage Setting and select External Memory.

External memory read

Verify that you are using a microSD card (max 2GB), not a microSDHC (4GB or larger) card.
You can use a microSDHC if you install RockBox on your Sansa C240, but it will be read-only. You will have to use an external card reader to copy media to it.

Memory card Samsung Nv3

This is a common problem and I had the same issue. Samsung only guarantees that a 1GB external memory card will work. If you look at the user manual on page 77. I just used a 1GB memory card instead and it worked fine.
I am not saying that no memory cards greater than 1GB will work but I would try to find someone that has used the brand and size and knows that it will work.
