We have two similar computers. One on a very slow Internet link so we don't so many downloads. It is clicking along fairly well. The other we do most of the downloads and web surfing and it has started running slower and slower over the past six months or so. Programs such as Outlook Express, Firefox, Adobe .pdf viewer, Dreamweaver, all take longer than they should to open. If a web page is taking a long time to load then we can't do anything else on the computer while we wait. We suspect the registry is filled up with stuff we don't need. we have looked at various products that claim to clean registries but don't know which one to use.
Try to clean unnecessary temp files in the system, also increase your virtual memory, and have full system scan twice in a week, t will works. Gudday !!
