Hi, Confirm that there is an audio device installed in your PC > right click on My Computer, Properties, Hardware tab, Device Manager button, expand Sound, video and game controllers, It's got to be there, with no yellow or red marks. Also in Start, Control Panel, Sounds and Audio Devices, Audio tab, you should have something in Default device. If none likewise in Device Manager or a yellow or red mark, you have to re-install your drivers by right clicking on the mark and click Update drivers. If they're there with no marks, ensure that they are enabled. Perhaps further assistance maybe made available if you can post brand/model of your PC and/or motherboard. Good luck and kind regards.

i have an e machine t 2692. i just reloaded all my software to clean my computer. now it says it is detecting new hardware (multimedia audio controller) but it can't locate the drivers, and i keep trying my drivers disc, but it wont work. any suggestions?
i have re installed my xp but still no audio device
I have problem when I have installed window xp Home no sound, and in device manager tab "Multimedia Audio device" and in 'other devices' Video Controller (VGA Compatible) showing yellow mark.
How to fix it and get the sound on windows start up? Please help.
