Power Problem My nes seems to have two problems with it. The first problem is the classic blinking light, however after a few attempts I can get it to work normally. The second problem is more consistent: After about 4 minutes of game play the screen will go black, and the power light will dim. I can restart the game again and it will work properly for another four minutes until it shuts off again. Does anyone know what's happening?

I tried this and it still cuts out after four minutes. This time the light was completely out.

The second problem sounds like the unit is getting too hot and overheating. Best bet to try fixing that is to set the NES up on a shoe box or something that is empty on the inside so that it can absorb some of the heat out of the unit.

Here is a link to my blog... I have a step by step on how to fix the blinking red light of doom... the other problem might be related somehow so I suggest trying to fix the 72 pin connector on the motherboard.... rhythmmemory.blogspot.com

go there to find the fix for the connector.
