Error Code 6B00

Today I got this error code after approx 1 year of use.

I have been using the same cart. that I refill. I searched Google for 6B00 canon and found FixYa . Under another printer I found that many people have fixed this problem by turning the printer upside down and shaking it. Its a little awkward for a multifunction but what is there to loose? I did it and its fixed.
Previously I tried all the common fixes as described in the manual and several I did on my own.
I made both posts to advise anyone that gets this problem Error Code 6B00 on any Pixma Canon Printer to try this before anything else.

Thank you so much.  I was getting so frustrated and finally decided to shake the printer even harder.  Absolutely AMAZING!!  Thanks again.

Canon MP600 6B00 Error Code: I started off removing the ink tank holder (held in place by the grey lever) and cleaning it with an alcohol solution and paper towel.  When the ink tanks are not in use they slide to the right side and rest on a pad that collects excess ink.  Mine was loaded up and gel like so I cleaned it as well.  WITH THE INK TANKS REMOVED I placed my MP600 upside down on the table with a towel underneath to protect the lid. I then gave it a few good hits on either side of the lower paper tray.  WORKED FOR ME!

Unbelieveable, It does work! Forget about paying to get fixed or about buying another printer. Try this first, and please, thank the guy who posted this fix, he is saving us at least $200 bucks.
