1801 microcode patch erro

I bought an intel 815 board with compaq logo,i have 1GH intel proceesor,512Ram and 80GB hard disk;When I turn on the system,it give the following error with F1 to boot,but it boot successfully 1801 microcode patch error,invalid or missing microcode, contact your ROM BIOS manufacturer for new BIOS for new PROCESSOR STEPPING.

    After I upade my HP system Dc5100s to 2 GB cruciaI memory and I received this error of Invalid Electronic serial number, 1801 microcode update error.

    What could be wrong there.

    I bought a compaq pc with an intel celeron processor (1.7Ghz)and i went on to upgrade it to a pentium 4(2.66Ghz) but ever since i installed it , i get the 1801 microcode patch error and both fans run at terrible speeds making noise. Lately it has started going off during operation. what should i do i really like this machine. pleas help!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    my prob is..i have D5D motherboard where the processor is 1.5Ghz..now, im installing a new 2.4Ghz processor..once i switch no the pc. it says, 1801 microcode patch error..Missing or invalid processor microcode path..contact compaq support to get a new ROM BIOS..can anybody help me to solve this prob?

    I installed an intel pentium 4, 2.80GHZ in my Compaq Presario 5320US (it came with a pentium 4, 1.5GHZ), and now i get the "1801- missing microcode patch error" message.

>This means you have a corrupted BIOS Chip. Neither here not there, BIOS chip is good. The BIOS talk that havn`t microcodes for new CPU with new (rather - unknown for current BIOS version) stepping. You can take some ways under such problems: 1. Flash last BIOS version (found by model BIOS image and flash utilities - on official site your mobo). 2. If last version havn`t your CPU-microcodes too - you can try patch BIOS with special utilities (but for it advanced qualification is required!). 3. Disregard this message and easy press F1. :) Microcodes absence practically havn`t effect for work - only few infrequent applications (to ex. some filters in Photoshop) can work not correctly.

No you can't program the BIOS CHIP you have to go service center with you MB then you can solve your problam no other way to solve it
