If they are alternately flashing, you have a maintenance request. the pads need replacing and the printer needs be rest.
if they are flashing the same time, its a fatal error, an internal problem has occurred.
a couple things you can check your self, check to see if the encoder strip is not slacking. its behind the printhead and goes from one side to the other. clean the strip with a lint free cloth, not wet
