I need to get the thread spool holder - White Sewing Mighty Mender WW100 Mechanical Sewing Machine

Berninas can use double or triple needles, just be sure the needle is set in the center position and the stitch width is set to zero. If your machine does not have dual spool pins, you can put one spool in a drinking glass on the table behind the sewing machine. You can also probably fashion a spool holder out of a small dowel on a base or even find a standalone spool holder. Instead of using two thread spools, some people will use a thread spool and load thread on a bobbin and put both on the spool pin.

Be sure to thread each separately so the two threads do not become twisted. Your machine may also have dual tension disks, so each thread should be separated when going through the tension unit.

To thread the upper thread, make sure that the needle bar is fully up, using the hand wheel. Put the thread spool on the spool pin and secure it with the spool holder. Use the end of the spool holder that is closest to the spool size. Bring the thread through first guide to the left of the spool holder. Slide it past and behind the guide before pulling it into the guide. Then bring the thread to the pre-tension spring. Similarly, the thread goes behind the spring and then comes forward. Next bring the thread down through the channel and up through the adjacent one further to the left. It helps to hold the thread between the spool and the thread guide. Once you bring the thread up through the second channel bring it from right to left through the slotted eye of the take-up lever. Bring the thread down and through the horizontal thread guide, the thin guide clamp needle and to the needle. Thread the needle from front to back.

is this the first time you use a sewing machine? if you are very familiar with the way the thread is pulled out of the bottom spool, I'd say you need a technician, here is how to install bottom spool in case you don't know. after filling spool, pull thread out through the small gap on the side of the spool holder, then holding the small arm on the holder outward insert the spool holder in to the socket and release after fully inserted. after that the thread should come out the top by manually turning the machine to lower needle

sounds like your thread is getting caught in the thread spool's thread keeper notch. Make sure you use the spool holder disk with the closest size to the spool of thread to help prevent that. This is pretty common with old fashioned spools like coats and clark spools.

My brother suggests that i make sure the spool unwinds in a certain direction. You might check your manual to be certain the thread is unwinding the correct way.

my CG550 is running very slow I need help?

My guess is that it is the thread spooling off the reel that is the problem. Some of those specialty quilting cottons come on reels with plastic ends that have rough spots particularly knicks where you are supposed to "park" the thread end when you are done sewing. Run your fingers around the rim at each end of the reel and choose the smoother one to be the one closest to the threading mechanism. If neither end is suitable, flip the spool holder upwards so it is standing at a right angle to the machine, make sure the large spool holder is on then put the thread on - you won't need the smaller spool holder on top. Let the thread feed off from the right-hand side i.e. "under" the thread spool, across to the tension disks etc. Also be sure that the thread is not jumping out of that first thread tension slot.

Most older machines start the thread from the spool on a spool holder then the thread goes through a tension dial, on to another tension holder inside the case. Then make sure the thread is going through a lever that goes up and down with the needle, through a thread holder near the needle.

2. Place spool of thread on spool pin.
3. Slide spool pin holder/cap (illustration 2) firmly over rim of spool to prevent thread from tangling.

4. Lead thread passing it first through the lower slot of the thread guide. Next through the upper slot, leading the thread to the right and around (illustration 3).
5. Wind thread clockwise around front of bobbin winder tension disc (illustration 4).
7. Pass thread end, from inside, through small hole in rim of bobbin.
8. Holding thread end, step on speed controller to run machine until desired amount of thread is wound. (Winding stops automatically once bobbin is full.)
9. Cut thread; push bobbin to the left and remove it from bobbin winder pin.
10. Trim thread end from top of bobbin.
11. Press the bobbin winding indent on hand wheel to its original position. If necessary, turn hand wheel to engage needle movement.

I had the same problem. Through trial and error, I found the problem was with the thread tension. Usually the thread became wrapped around the spool holder as it was coming off the spool. As you continue to press the pedal, tension is created. When you release the pedal, some slack develops in the threading process and you are able to sew a few more stitches before the beeping starts again. If the thread is caught on the spool holder, simple re-thread the machine.That generally works for me. Also you can try to push to spool holder in as close as possible to the spool pin to alleviate any gaps. If the beeping continues to happen, place you thread in a cup behind the machine and thread as usual. You can also purchase an inexpensive thread holder. I made one out of a wood block and other odds and ends found around the house. Good Luck!
