Task Manager I have 2 accounts on my XP Pro. 1 is administrator account and 1 guest. I had a major problem with my administrator account. I created a new administrator account and deleted the old administrator account but saved all my files. My other account was named Raven and the new account Back Up. After the delete I renamed my new account Raven but when I open task manager is says under username Back Up, is there anyway I can fix that?

is there any easier way to recover your files because the only way I know is by deleting the account in control panel and then just have windows place all those files on my dekstop?

Just create a new account and sign on to the new account copy everything from the old account before deleting the old account and then delete the back up account as well. You will then have just the newly created account and the guest account.

You can open the account that you want the file from and select as many as you want,Copy them to the new account,If it is just doc's and pix etc... just go into the Hard drive and select the documents and setting file and choose the account that has what you want and copy them to the doc's and setting account you just created.

Create a new administer account (Which by the way you should never use) and then I would recommend that you create another account such as "Admin" Backup and reover your files then opn a command propmpt and type without Quotes

"net user administrator /active:no" and press enter. You should get a "Command has completed sucessfuly" in the command prompt. This will allow the administrator account to remain on the machine but not show up on the login. The administrator account is a good one to have and not use just in case anything like this happens again.
