My SD550 had an E18 error. I took it apart and found the broken gear, but was not able to get just the gear I needed. But you gain a lot of detailed photos of me taking apart my camera.

The E18 error is fairly common. Usually it's sand or grit interfering with the lens extension mechanism. Or the camera's been dropped with the lens extended. Or the camera has been powered on, but the lens had been blocked preventing its extension.

I have the same problem. When I turn the camera on the lens struggles to come out, but never does. This all started out of nowhere. the camera was working perfectly, and was not dropped or anything.
