Active sync My 168 is not recognized by my computer. It may be a problem with a contact point in the plug since I have synced it in the past. Any solutions?

I can no longer activate active sync, it always worked in the past. Cleaned contacts, re-loaded program, still no luck. Also, when the unit is off, it will on occasion turn itself on. This may be part of the problem, not sure it it is related.

Used to work on two computers (laptop and desk). Now get 'trying to connect USB device' icons on the PC, and 'connecting' on the Navman mio168, then connection fails and navman says 'not connected'. Same whether logged on as user or administrator. Runnign Windows XP-prof, with Sophos anti-virus on the PCs.

Activesync stopped working for me when I installed SP3 for XP. I think it's a known issue with no solution yet. Apart from 'upgrade to Vista'...

Resoldering the connector only helps if that was the problem in the first place. In any case, Activesync has started working again for me. I suspect a later Windows update, or some other change in configuration, has fixed the bug, at least for me.

It was a **** solution unrelated to the problem.

You must resolder the charging connector, or you can put in a service
