Can't print to 4 x 6 paper from top feeder, rollers appear to be not picking up media.

I can only looad 2 or 3 sheets of paper at a time into the main tray. Anymore than that and it won't roll through or push in all the way. I can't see any blocks and I've tried sliding it in using the extending lever and without.

Mine does the same thing. I have to load a 1/2" stack of paper & then help feed the top sheet.

paper jam error comes on everytime I try to make a copy.(after restting)

The roller solinoid is not operating.

    Whats the problem?????

This printer can load paper properly maybe 20% of the time. Otherwise I have to help guide it through or it will give me an out of paper error. Time to exchange it.

Mine will feed two blank sheets through and then say "Out of Paper." It's 2 months old.

I have a HP LaserJet 3030. I had a paper jam, which I pulled out. Now, every time I try to print, the machine makes an awful sound like it's trying to turn its wheels, and I get a message that says "no paper pickup".

I have tried switching off and on, removing/reloading paper, opening it to check if anything looks odd (not that I can tell).

It's like it is out of phase. Is there some way i can resent the thing to get it to print again?

    Many thanks

    I have the same problem.

Last week, I went to print something usingthe manual feeder. The paper came out most of the way then it got stuck. I pulled it out the rest of the way.

Now when I try to print, it makes an awful sound, and a click, click, click, that sounds like it's trying to pick up, and I get an error message that says 'no paper pick up".

I have tried switching the machine on and off, I have removed/reloaded the apaper, I even opned up the front to see if anything looked odd inside (not that I can tell).

I dodn't think that anything has worn away - it's not like I use the printer all day every day.

Help to resolve this would be greatly appreciated.

printer says check paper/ reload paper and there is no jam and plenty of paper.  This has been happening ever since we replaced the cartridge drum.

Sounds like worn out feed rollers.
They lose their tread and become very slick.
Like trying to drive a car on ice.
Replace the feed roller kit. Or kits depending on how many trays are affected
