3) New T106 or T1906 timer mechanism will snap into T103P enclosure without changing boxes. Any intermatic timer will snap into Intermatic enclosure. Other brands of timer can adapt to Intermatic enclosure using Tork IAP adapter bracket.
1) Try resetting timer. Aube/Honeywell TI033 7-day 2400watt timer cannot be exposed to temperatures below freezing, even though manual says -5 F. High temperature range is 122 F . Generally NO. But...it Depends on amp rating of timer, wattage of water heater, and line voltage. Look at label on side of heater for watts. Electric water heater will work on any voltage.
1) Start with 120 Volt outlet:: Volts x amps = watts Watts divided by volts = amps Let's say outlet is 120Volts. Lets say water heater is rated 4500 watts. 4500 divided by 120 = 37 amps There is NO plug-in timer rated for 37 amps.
Let's say water heater is rated 900 watts. 900 divided by 120 volts = 7.5 amps

The liner on the inside of the door has to come off by removing the two large screws, you can probably just pull the liner back to get to the end cap screw.

option 2 go to wallmart and buy a mini ball valve screw it on wall facet and turn it off voila it now turns off 3.99 and your grass is no longer a swamp
One side of the element powers from the timer and the other side from the motor . Remove one wire from the element , and check which wire is not getting 120 V . Trace the wire NOT getting 120V and it will lead either to the timer or the motor , providing that the small t-stat looking piece (thermal cut-off) located close to the top of the heater box , shows continuity . If it does not , then pt # 3392519 is for it and the hi-limit t-stat . If you replace it , then replace both that come in the kit .
Reason? There shouldn't be one. Seems you're extraordinarily unlucky with timers. Mine's 10yo, never broke. The timer is a standalone part, it's not dependent on any other parts for its longevity. So there can't be any other parts in the washer 'killing' it.
Are you handling it gently? Turn it slowly when setting, don't whip it around.
