Screen is "bowed" in at top and bottom. tried to adjust convergence but that doesn't work.

Hi,
Check resistors might have cold solder joints are changed resistance values around replaced STK393-110
Pay attention to faded colored or fried resistors.
You can download service manual for WS-55511 from HERE to get schematics and technical info. (download all 3 parts of file and use WinRAR to extract file)

you must have the original toshiba remote control in order to fix this problem,if you check th resistors are ok ,you have to go to the aligment by push and hold mute buttom on the remote control and menu in the front of the tv set,

SOURCE: red convergence will not adjust up or down.

This is a failure of the convergence ICs. This can be as simple as poor solder connections on the pins of the ICs or defective ICs. If you can solder, you can fix this yourself. Update this if you wish to attempt a repair and I'll provide additional details and instructions.

Hi, this is convergence board failure. this is the reason for the failed alignment procedure and you will need to replace this failed board in order to restore full functions within the convergence options. i will Post a link to the actual part that you will need to purchase. this is a replacement board board and it can be delivered to your door via UPS.
