When I get trouble with my external or flash drive I'd rather never take risks, so I always get all my files offf the offending drive and just use the Disk Utility, and format the drive. Most problems get solved doing this.

Hey Marcelo If you r trying to backup the data with windows Backup System then Check if the Data is restricted or not. If its restricted then try to login through the Administrator rights and try to do.
And if you simply trying to copy and unable to do that then check if u have third party application installed for copying (eg: teracopy or so). If u do have installed then try unintalling that and proceed. Best Of Luck

I had the similar problem when I tired it. Usually the backup is successful but would have ended up skipping some locations because it could not find them. Most of them would backup Pictures, Music, Documents, and Videos through user libraries. Since you have changed the location of these folders, the libraries won't recognize them unless you navigate to the corresponding library through the Explorer UI, i.e., for example, to navigate to the Documents library, click on the Windows icon and click on "Documents" to the top right. Can you make sure you navigate to each library at least once? Once you do that, the right locations will be updated and backup will start backing up the new locations. Try this out and hope it works for you as it did in my case.

I would bet money that the destination drive (sony 1 TB) is formatted as FAT32 versus NTFS. I believe there is a 4 GB limitation on size to destination device given the cluster-size limitations of Fat32. One thing you "could do" is split files into smaller chunks, then copy to destination drive.

IF 1 TB drive is empty, try and reformat 1 TB disk to NTFS, recopy file in native format and you "should" be OK.
