Pressed key repeat

When pressing delete key (sometimes also backspace, page up and page down) it repeats for two or more times.

But how do I open the keyboard? Even after I take out all the screws, there seems to be a press-molded sort of connector in the middle holding the parts together. How can I get this off and open the keyboard?

    Thanks in advance!

If I press the connect button on the mouse, it corrects the problem for a half a minute or so. Then I have to press it again...and again.....and again.

I have had the same problem for ever. I have found that unplugging the USB dongle, waiting 10+ seconds and than plugging it back in tends to fix it right away.

After a few weeks you might have to do it again. Annoying problem but a simple fix.

I have tried the whole shaking it and taking it apart and cleaning it but that never seemed to work and in some cases made the problem worse. The only thing that fixes it for me is unplugging it and plugging it back in. Hope this helps!

It seems the world has this problem...hmm.....okay, here's step 1. Take the keyboard, turn it upside down and with vigor...smack it on your desk (on the edge of the keyboard). If you see crumbs and other debris on the desk subsequently do it twice more....(no it won't hurt the keyboard...just use some common sense). If that fails you can take the keyboard apart and clean the keys and film with a soft, moistened with alcohol, cloth. A can of compressed air, and a blow out of the keyboard once a week will also help....but banging it will still be necessary once in a while.
