SOURCE: sound problem

Hello, first off all, check if the sound device is activated

Second of all, you have two ways to get your sound driver:

1) Put your IBM cd recover and find there the sound drivers. (Usuallly is a folder with a number)
2) If you don't have the cd, go to ibm webpage at www.lenovo.com
then go to Support >> "software and drivers" put your machine number and model and get the sound driver there.

After that, you have to download the driver to your laptop, then go to "My PC" >> Properties >> Hardware >> Device Manager >> Audio ----->> and update the driver with the new one. That's it.

Please don't forget to rate my help >> Thank you!

SOURCE: Will not create Acer factory default backup disc.

Are you trying to use a re-writable disc ? if so try it without. Is this a default back up just after purchase, if not ensure you run check disk on the unit first. to force one. Go to > My computer, right click the your root drive (normally c:). Go to > the properties of the drive Go to > second tab in and click "tools". Go to> check now error checking choose "automatic fix errors" this may require a reboot, then re-reun your acer factory default back up again. hope this helps

SOURCE: reset my dell d630 to factory settings

Hi:
The Dell D630 does not have a factory restore partition on the hard drive. Your only option is to use the windows restore feature that is accessable off of the start button, all programs, accessories, system tools. Plan B would be to borrow an operating system disk that matches the Certificate sticker on the bottom of the laptop, and then download all needed drivers from the Dell Website.
