How difficult is it to replace the screen window?

The screen window has a small crack. I'm pretty good in fixing thins, but to open a camera, I never did before! Can I do it myself, and how? Thanks for your help! Mike

About 45 minutes and its a bit fiddly. Bought original screen off EBay £42. Remove battery and SD card. Remove 3 screws from back plus 2 from metal strap bracket, 1 from bottom and 2 more from top button trim. Gently prise camera apart. Loosen 2 screws and slide out screen retainers. Remove Screen backing plate. Remove screen gently pull ribbon wire from camera body. Push new screen ribbon wire into socket - this IS fiddly but you must get it aligned right. Push into place with a plastic spatula - fit screen and protector and re-assemble. All you need is a watchmakers Phillips (+) head driver. Good luck.

For a "Tough" camera I dont know how the original screen cracked - Its a mystery but was not dropped or shocked

Thats an actual screen - not the window - I think the window is bonded in.
