The fan is permanently on unless I turn off at the wall switch, so I would like to swap out the part on the fire itself if I can get the part. Gas experts have said easiest to swap the whole switch part.
Look it up on eBay or Amazon, they usually have replacement parts at a reasonable price.

Hi remove bottom cover you will see black knob with off pilot and on , turn knob to pilot push in and hold in press igntion button untill pilot lights hold knob in for 30 secs then release if pilot stays on turn to on postion if not try again ,
