The song is "Call Me" and was recorded by a number of diffrent singers, mainly female (Petula Clark, Nancy Sinatra, etc) but males as well (Frankie Valli). It was used as a lot as an album filler. Most arrangements I've run into have a samba beat.

The "spikes" are the legs near the backside of the drum that keep it from rotating... Some actually have spikes that go into sockets and dig into the floor under the drum. The photo shows the legs. The drum pedal may have spikes and or a clip/clamp that grabs the nearside of the bass rim to keep the pedal from pushing the drum away.

First thing is to verify your sound system is OK by running program material such as a CD at normal levels through it. If it is OK then you need to consider if your drum set is overdriving your sound system. Drums generate high pulses and can easily saturate PA systems. First thing here is to connect headphones to your drum set and listen how the set sounds via headphones. If both these tests pass muster, then your PA system may be too small to handle the drum audio. In that case, get at least a 15 inch powered monitor, preferably bi-amped to run the drums through.

it is rubbing on spin cycle due to being out of balance.Rubbing wont occur when turning by hand.

well i am not sure what r u talking about,but as i met the same problem,i assume that you mean you lack one cable...What you should do is:
1.Connect the cable to the cymbal.Then connect it the ending of the cable with bass drum(not with the device)
2.Connect the bass drum with the device,as there will be 2 cables in the bass drum.Then plug it into the device & you will be ok.
