You parallel the contacts then either one or both will turn it on. Both have to be off for the fan to stop.

SOURCE: I lost my Leviton 6230M 30 mins timer installation sheet.

Switch has 2 black wires. One black is hot wire. One black is wire going to fan. Turn off power. Remove wires from switch and separate. Turn power back on. Using ordinary tester, test each black wire to bare copper ground wire. Only one of the black wires will test hot. The other black wire goes to fan.
Timer black wire connects to black hot
Timer blue wire connects to black wire going to fan
Timer white wire connects to white neutral (in absence of white neutral, connect Timer white wire to bare ground)
Timer green connects to bare ground wire

SOURCE: I installed a Leviton 1000W/20A 1HP-120V timer to

I think the timing device has failed.
Most of these devices come with 1 year limited warranty, so you can exchange for new one.
I usually buy new one, and then return old one as if it was just purchased.

I test timers.
One thing you can check: buy circuit analyzer at home center and plug into receptacle on same circuit.
If circuit is not clean, this will affect electronic devices and shorten lifespan, causing operation failure.
If there is a fault somewhere, you can use multimeter from home center and start at end of circuit and work back through each box and light fixture.

SOURCE: i need to install a

Hello,
It really is very simple to change a switch without having to call a contractor.
1) Make sure the power is off at the fuse box.
2) Take the switch cover off.
3) You will notice one screw on top an one one the bottom remove both.
3) Remove both wires, again make sure power is off.
4)You will notice on the switch there is a gold screw and a silver screw.
5) If both wires are black it does not matter which screw you hook them up to, If the wires are white and black then the black goes to the gold screw and the white goes to the silver. If for some reason they are both white then it does not matter which screw, just as if they were both back...... Its that simple.

SOURCE: my leviton countdown timer switch makes my

If this is a new installation, I believe you have a Leviton dimmer instead of a timer. For example, Leviton countdown timers like the 6260 and 6230 have times printed on face, while the similar-looking Leviton dimmer has no times.
Look at instruction sheet that came with product and make sure it says 'timer' and not incandescent 'dimmer'

If this installation worked before and suddenly stopped, then timer has gone bad.
Use circuit analyzer and check nearby outlet to make sure line is clean. Ground faults and circuit noise can adversely affect electronic timers.

For a price, expert speaks with you over phone while you work on timer or any do-it-yourself project.
Fixya is always less expensive than a service call.

SOURCE: Have a ecolab dishwasher 480v line voltage, how do you wire a roof top exhaust fan 120v?

If you only have 480 available (which would be unusual) , you will need a transformer, 480 - 120. Otherwise just run a separate circuit from a nearby single phase panel. There must be one.
