Check Ventilation: First, ensure proper ventilation by opening the windows and letting fresh air circulate through the vehicle. Sometimes, poor ventilation can affect the effectiveness of ozone treatments.
Clean Your Vehicle Thoroughly: Ozone treatments won't remove the sources of odors, so any food particles or gunk that's contributing to bad smells in the vehicle will just start to smell again later. Vacuum your vehicle thoroughly and use wet wipes to scrub down any hard surfaces or dashboards.
Run the Ozone Generator Longer: If the odor persists, consider running the ozone generator for a longer duration. Typically, it's recommended to run the generator for at least 30 minutes. However, you can extend this time if needed.
Air Out the Vehicle: After running the ozone generator, air out the vehicle for 2-3 days until the ozone odor goes away. Ozone smells like a funky version of chlorine bleach, so once that odor is gone, you're good to go.

This generally indicates that the plate is cracked or not making proper contact. Pull the plate and look very closely as even a tiny microscopic crack anywhere on the plate will produce these results.

When the unit is clean it will produce more ozone. If the unit is a bit oversized then it becomes worse. As an installer I have to be carefull to not oversize these units. O3 is harmless and actually will only stay in the air as O3 for about 1/2 hour. Because of this it will not build up in the air. O3 also in a powerful disinfectant and will help kill mold and bacteria in the air. As soon as the filter gets a little bit of dust on it the O3 production will become much less. Run your fan continuously for a day or so and it will go away.

You probably have a burned out high voltage transformer. That's what produces the ozone. Helpful hint...........the high voltage transformer is also the one used in bug zappers
