New battery, full charge, still wont stay on. Does not stay on long enough to check the menu to see if the timer is set ???? Anyone have a better solution than trashing this and never buying a Kodak again!!!
The problem you describe is frequently the result of dirty/corroded
battery contacts in the camera. Try removing the batteries and
cleaning the inside contacts with a fine wire brush, steel wool, or
fine sandpaper. Remove any residue left from the cleaning, then
replace the batteries. Hopefully all will be well.

My Kodak M1033 was doing the same thing. Someone suggested there could be dirt, dust, lint, etc in the lens. I used a can of compressed air (like you use on your computer keyboard), sprayed it a few times and it works now! Thank goodness. I haven't used it in months because I didn't know what what wrong with it. Good Luck!
Did you spray the lense? how? without power, the lense is not opened and therefore not accessible.
