Tried to set resolution too high I guess. The "Input not supported" message is floating on a black background. How do I get back to desktop?
Just bought a new computer and an Acer Monitor. It has Window XP due to a need we have to run an older program. I set up the computer, everything was fine. I loaded my Concourse program and it loaded fine and opened. I did notice that the graphics of the program weren't as large as they are on other computers, so.....I looked for an icon to maybe improve the graphics. I found on the start menut at the bottom right an icon that pulled up Graphics Options. There were only two, so I clicked the 'other' option that wasn't checked. I immediately lost my picture and had a black screen with a floating box that read, "INPUT NOT SUPPORTED". Can you help me? I live a long way from the store where I bought the computer and monitor.
Reboot the computer and enter into Safe Mode through pressing F8 repeatedly on the keyboard.
If Windows will not come up, then you have to access the system through system restore.
In windows xp, it's c:\windows\system32\restore\rstrui.exe
In windows vista, it's c:\windows\system32\restore\rstrui.exe
This is done through Safe Mode with command prompt or command prompt; depending on the operating system.

have you tried unplugging the monitor and plugging it back in to reset it?
