After 10-20 minutes of playing any game, the game locks up. Most times, the screen freezes with the image visible, but other times it goes blank. You can turn it off and then back on again and you get another 10 minutes or so of playing time before it locks up again. The console is the slim version and is 1 year old.
My ps2 actually did this for a long time. Either it "Died" as they say, or something is wrong with the internal part of the ps2. If you open it properly, there is a white gear you'll find. This keeps the cd, and a few other things on track. Turn this gear to the left 3-5 ticks. Close the ps2 and it should be fixed. If you have anymore problems post it please.

motor starts game will load then disc slows up then speeds up able to see game start but will not cotinue i,ve cleaned the unit very good adjusted little white wheel adjusted laser cleaned lens what am i missing signed ready to throw it in the trash.
